1. Blood Shroom, aka Vampire Shroom, Leech Shroom and Creeper Spore:

This fungus is recognizable by its bulbous red cap and milky white stalk. During the day, they are dormant, and usually found in damp, cool places away from the sun. They burn easily, and will wilt and die if exposed to direct sunlight for more than a few hours. At night, these shroom move around using modified pseudopods and a slimy ooze produced by their mouth part. They scoot around until they find a sleeping host, then latch on, generally anywhere from 2 minutes to ten. They burrow their mouthparts into the victim and suck blood from them. When enough blood is gathered, the shroom disengages, falls to the ground, and scoots off to find a suitable location to spend the next several days or week while digesting. The blood shroom leaves a perfectly round circular series of lacerations about an inch in diameter.

2. Lightning Shroom, aka Star Shroom or Ghost Spore

This fungus is common in forested areas, and is often prized by botanists and gardeners alike. This fungus is easy to grow and maintain, needing only cool, and damp soil that is high in nutrients. They tend to grow in and around dead trees, around mossy stones, and around wet tree roots. They are highly sought after in the domestic trade due to their ease of care, as well as the beautiful natural glow they possess. At night they glow a bright teal-white. Some of the largest clusters can be seen from as far away as five miles. Some stories of ghosts in the forest have been raced back to scared, lost people seeing these harmless glowing mushrooms through the trees.

3. Death Shroom, aka Toxic Spore, Wandering Death, and Spider Shroom

This fungus is common in densely forested areas, caves, and catacombs, and are highly toxic. They are a creeping shroom, which is highly active and quite fast for a fungus. Some botanists speculate that the Death Shroom is actually a plat-animal hybrid of some sort, as it does show signs of some level of awareness. Death Shrooms feed primarily on plant and animal carrion, often found in places where things have gone to die. Not to be mistaken for a harmless scavenger, this Shroom is fully capable of also killing its prey, and when startled in any capacity, it will let out a cloud of violet dust which contains toxic spores. Travelers are warned to give these shrooms a wide berth. Their toxic spores can be neutralized with fire, but if the spores are inhaled, the victim will need immediate medical attention, and an antidote for the toxin.
